Hand Made Pottery

Our efforts are Dedicated to the vast beauty of nature. Our pottery is the result of mysterious natural crystal formations in the glaze during firing to 1290C (2355F) or PCE 12. These effects, although challenging and time consuming to control and predict, create a beauty that is striking and unusual. We make our clay forms by hand and develop all of our own glaze formulas. Hand thrown stoneware and porcelain clay forms are glazed with these very special formulas for beautiful natural effects. Crystalline effects have been created in a variety of colors and patterns and sizes. Ash glazes give a beautiful natural runny texture and pattern. Fired Gold rims and other rare metals often accentuate the decorative pieces. From functional serving bowls with hygienic white or black liners to decorative art pieces, the variety abounds. Our pottery can be purchased from several fine establishments which display our work or directly from us. We can create custom pottery for you as well. Most of our work is made to order.

Our table flower vases are used at Clifton The Country Inn. Our work is displayed at Tokyo Rose and a selection of work is available for sale at the Healthy Home. All of these are located in Charlottesville, Virginia.
